Ambiance is an ambivalent word. It is easy to define, but hard to grasp. What does "full of ambiance" truly suggest for instance? It sure does suggest allure and perhaps a unique touch and harmony. Above all, it refers to the observer's pleasant feelings resulting from his/her presence within that harmony. Nevertheless, it is hard to distinguish between pleasant feelings enjoyed in a boutique, yet reasonable place and a lush, luxurious, 5* place.

At any 5* spa you would pay a lot and the ambiance would be spectacular. From private roof top suites to lyrical bath tubs, 5* spas would honour your excessive payment via delivering an unbelievably overwhelming and alluring ambiance.

However, that shall not mean that a boutique urban spa where you pay much less will be decrepit or shabby. Indeed, it does not mean that ambiance fails to allure where you pay less.

"Compatibility of ambiance" refers to the decency, the conformity, the harmony, the congruency between the venue and its ambiance. In this manner, it becomes possible to distinguish and honour a small, yet decent spa, which has been meticulously designed and decorated... Perhaps, it shall too receive 5 lotus flowers... In the same manner of thinking, rating the compatibility of ambiance also makes it possible to recognize a 5* spa that demands excessive payment, but fails to allure visitors with a compatible ambiance. Perhaps, such a place shall receive less than 3 lotus flowers...

Finally, compatibility of ambiance rates the congruency between the venue, the price the customer pays and the offer in return.
